Pixalere Healthcare launches HERO EMR

April 20, 2022

Ken HendsbeeABBOTSFORD, B.C. – Pixalere Healthcare, a pioneer in the clinical wound management and the community EMR space, has announced the launch of their new clinically-focused EMR application, HERO – Homecare Electronic Record Outcomes. HERO was created by clinicians for clinicians with the objective to assist home care providers in optimizing the health outcomes of their patients in the community.

The result of an eight-year collaboration with VHA Home Healthcare, a Toronto-based homecare provider, HERO is a robust digital reporting and digital forms solution allowing the full transition from paper to electronic charting.

“Pixalere is excited to make this clinically focused EMR available to community care providers across the country,” said Ken Hendsbee (pictured), CEO of Pixalere.

With clinical dashboards for nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, HERO allows for a comprehensive end-user experience. HERO’s electronic framework ensures that patient care clinical pathways are followed.

HERO’s full suite of digital documentation allows clinicians to have clear, real-time visibility of key patient information available on a laptop or mobile device, the company said. With clinical forms and assessments already created and in daily use throughout the province of Ontario, home care provider agencies can save valuable resource time by not having to create new documentation.

HERO features such as customizable ‘Triggers’ can be created to ensure clinical best practices are adhered to and ‘Pixalere Generated Referrals’ can be customized to notify clinicians of changes in the patient’s medical condition.

Pixalere is looking forward to partnering with homecare providers across Canada to introduce the benefits of HERO. Please visit www.hero.pixalere.com for more information.
