App translates medical reports into plain language

February 21, 2024

Mark CaskenetteTORONTO – Medirex Systems Inc., a well-known Canadian health technology company, announced that it will introduce a new software app called mySPOT during the HIMSS Conference in Orlando this March. The app features the company’s own advanced Navigator AI tool and enables patient empowerment in the healthcare system.

According to the company, mySPOT can transform patient care by bridging gaps in communication, reducing staff interruptions and enhancing productivity.

mySPOT combined with the intelligence of Navigator is able to translate medical reports into plain language and prompts patients with insightful questions for their medical team.

“This innovation extends beyond patient empowerment, significantly reducing staff interruptions by providing clear, accessible information upfront,” said Mark Caskenette (pictured), managing director of Medirex. “Healthcare providers can focus more on care delivery and less on repetitive queries from patients and their loved ones, leading to improved productivity and operational efficiency.”

Using mySPOT, healthcare facilities can harness real-time patient satisfaction feedback, enabling immediate adjustments and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

This feature not only enhances patient experience but also provides valuable insights for healthcare providers to refine their services and further engage with the patient to ensure they understand their diagnosis and care plan.

Medirex will unveil mySPOT March 12-14 at HIMSS Orlando, Booth 911.
