Novari Health announces improved integration with Oracle
July 17, 2024
KINGSTON, Ont. – To help hospitals and health systems improve patient access to care, Novari Health and Oracle Health have recently enhanced the integration between the two healthcare platforms. Novari’s modules now offer improved integration with Oracle Health’s capabilities.
Novari Health and Oracle Health have enabled data sharing between the Novari Access to Care Platform and the Oracle Health Electronic Health Record (EHR) to help facilitate smooth transitions of care for patients. This interoperability between systems ensures the EHR remains the single source of truth for patient records and scheduling.
The Novari Access to Care Platform includes a series of integrated software modules providing surgical wait list management, referral management, wait times reporting, central referral intake, and care coordination. Health systems, hospitals, regional health authorities, and governments leverage Novari Health’s cloud-based technologies to reduce wait times and ensure that patients receive timely and equitable care.
The Oracle Health EHR supports hospitals and health systems worldwide of different sizes and specialties to manage all aspects of their operation, including administrative, financial, and clinical functions. Oracle’s technologies assist clinicians in making informed care decisions and support organizations in managing population health effectively.
The bi-directional integration between Novari Health and Oracle Health include scheduling optimization, document sharing and archiving, patient ADT for demographics, and most recently computerized physician order entry (CPOE) for sending inpatient hospital orders to the Novari referral management platform. This comprehensive approach ensures that healthcare institutions can effectively manage their operations while integrating the Oracle Health EHR with an enterprise platform for managing both external and internal referrals.
Shared clients of Novari Health and Oracle Health include Bright Shores Health System, Brockville General Hospital, Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH), Cornwall Community Hospital, Grand River Hospital, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Lennox & Addington County General Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, North York General Hospital, Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, Sinai Health, St. Mary’s General Hospital, St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Windsor Regional Hospital, and others.
“Central to Mount Sinai Hospital’s goal in implementing Novari ATC software was to improve the patient experience. Having a visible waitlist enables us to improve surgical waits and access to data to make decisions in real-time,” said Lily Yang (pictured), vice president, Quality and chief clinical informatics officer, Sinai Health.
“Modernizing our surgical scheduling services with Novari ATC will enable OSMH to continue our commitment of improving access to surgical services and reducing wait times,” added Tom Roberts, vice president, Corporate Services, chief financial officer, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
