TORONTO – Dr. Andreas Laupacis, Chair of the Board of Directors of Health Quality Ontario (HQO), has announced the appointment of Shirlee Sharkey (pictured) as the new Chair of the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee (OHTAC). OHTAC is a standing advisory committee of HQO’s Board that reviews evidence and makes recommendations to the government and health system about the uptake, diffusion, distribution or removal of health interventions. VANCOUVER – The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) announced that Leslie Arnold (pictured) will assume the role of president of BC Children’s Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre, while retaining her role as president of BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services (BCMSUS). Arnold will step into the role currently held by Larry Gold, who is leaving to accept the position of president of the Detroit Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Read More
